I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist, supervisor, and trainer, and have practised in Perth, Western Australia, for over 45 years. I provide counselling and psychotherapy for adults experiencing a wide range of personal and interpersonal concerns.
My work is grounded in the Masterson Approach, a psychoanalytic psychotherapy model developed for working with character structure and disorders of the self. Early relational experience shapes our character and personality. It is now understood certain therapies can modify these brain-based structures. Masterson's depth-oriented approach helps clients better understand their inner world, recognise entrenched patterns, and develop a more authentic sense of self.
I am a member of Faculty with the International Masterson Institute (IMI) and am the Director of Masterson Australia, a division of IMI.
In addition to my therapeutic work and training, I provide clinical supervision and supervisor training. I am the Training Director of SupervisionWA, which delivers intensive training in reflective supervision for professionals in the human services field.
